Aucklanders eat their way around the world!

The Auckland International Cultural Festival was held at the Mt Roskill War Memorial Park in early April 2018.It was a beautiful sunny day to celebrate Auckland’s distinctive cultural diversity with a huge range of new experiences from around the world – a café in Moscow, Pasifika dancing, a street market in The Philippines and a carnival in Brazil.

With so much happening and the large crowd that was expected again this year, it was time to bring in some expert crowd safety controls. For the 5th year running GHL Temp Fence were onsite to ensure the celebrations ran smoothly throughout the day.

This year, GHL installed over 200m of crowd control barriers and 160 metres of braced temporary fencing to make way for the myriad of food stalls, live performances, cultural activities and the kids and sports zones.

To improve aesthetics, the organisers requested that beige shade cloth be attached to the temporary fencing. This required extra bracing to ensure the stability of the fence in case of extreme weather conditions.

With over 12 years’ experience, providing temporary fencing and crowd control barriers, GHL team not only provide the team and equipment to ensure the safety and success of your event, but also provide expertise for an efficient setup and pack down.
